Civic Art Bureau is stoked to present 60/Sixty, an exhibition and book of skateboarding photography by David Pang alongside a massive installation of skate deck art by over fifty graffiti, street, tattoo and contemporary artists from Canberra and beyond.Presented as part of 2026 Belco Bowl Jam and celebrating its 25th anniversary.

David Pang has photographed Australian skateboarding since the late 1980s, charting its rise and documenting international greats and fearless locals in the national capital and its many famous spots, including Spence drains, Kambah halfpipe, the Belco Bowl, and the heritage-listed Erindale banks. Pang’s historic and iconic photos of this spot being ridden by superstar Tony Hawk were included in the heritage submission and helped gain its status.

Pang is a much-loved Canberra legend. 60/sixty is a play on the skateboard trick 50/50, marking Pang’s 60th birthday and limiting his selection to sixty images from his enormous archive. His work is known internationally, including many features in American magazine Thrasher.

The huge display of original paintings and sculpture on skateboard decks includes artists Abyss.607, ATUNE, BASIX, BYRD, Angus Comyns, Thom Crowhurst, HOUL, JINX, KID PARIS, Mosaic Mofos, Mers, ODYSE, PAW, SETLER, Sweigz and TEAZER.

Curated by Sancho’s Dirty Laundry and Civic Art Bureau. Supported by Belco Bowl Jam, Capital Brewing Co. and Mustard Flats.
