“I found out that Zomi had died when i recognised her in a press photograph posted on instagram— and suddenly, devastatingly, the assault on Gaza came home. 

“Zomi was an Australian aid worker providing food aid in Gaza when she was killed alongside her six co-workers in an Israeli strike on their aid convoy, two years ago this April.” Kate Stevens
