Artist statement:

“This exhibition acts as an epilogue to Crowhurst’s fifth solo show, NARCISSIST, presented during the 2025 Melbourne Fringe Festival. Recontextualising and building on themes of ego death and the collapse of identity, CREEP shifts the focus from grief, therapy, and inner work toward a clearer, more grounded awareness of the self. Each work now reflecting a more resolved state, not as something fixed, but as something understood and faced with strength and vulnerability.

Framed as an unsolicited art exhibition, CREEP offers an uninvited look into the inner workings of the artist, unashamedly exposing his inner world and psyche to the general public. Now grounded in healing and truth-telling, the artist continues to explore the illusion of identity beyond its breakdown, and confronts the self in a state of awareness that can no longer hide behind closed doors.”
